“ Our family was visiting the gulf area last fall, we are from the midwest and wanted to experience authentic Southern BBQ. We were driving through Ocean Springs and we happened to drive by Pleasant's so we opted to stop as their smoker is literally right out front. The food was really good and lunch for our family of 4 was affordable. The brisket, mac and cheese, and collard greens (which I had never tried before) were delicious! The staff were friendly, too. I almost forgot about getting around to doing this review, but I started thinking about those greens and how I really want to get back to Ocean Springs again in the future. Would definitely stop there again if we make it back! ”

I live in Texas where I have eaten at many establishments throughout the years..., including the Famous "Franklins." . In my honest opinion they are better than any BBQ place I've eaten. If you are in the Ocean Springs area, give them a try. They are a family owned business that are a part of Ocean Springs history that still has the southern hospitality. ”
“ See the red on the rib? That’s from smoke. The smoker outside is actually in use and I watched the owner bring ribs in off the smoker and plate it up for the customers. This is absolutely 100% the best BBQ on the Gulf Coast. Forget Murky Waters, forget any other place.. THIS is the spot. Everything from the service to the food was top notch. ”
